Industry Leading Career Development

The training academy provides you with the basic skill set to start your career, however, as any deVere employee will tell you, your skillset and knowledge never stop improving. The complexity and evolving nature of the wealth management industry requires constant continuous professional development and training. This involves studying for CISI, CII and other major financial planning qualifications. 

Recruits without prior industry experience will begin work as business development associates. This role allows recruits to develop their industry knowledge and skillsets. Typically, recruits will work as business development associates for 12-18 months, before they are ready to step up to the role of associate wealth consultant.     

For the most determined, there are clear routes to senior management via the business development associate route. Age is irrelevant, work ethic & results are what propel people to the top at deVere.

Roles Available

Financial Advisor

Financial advisors (like Lloyd) can work as general practitioners, or choose to specialise in one of the many areas in which deVere offer advice including: portfolio investing, pension management, asset advice, international property investment, succession planning, citizenship by investment, insurance and international taxation. 

Business Development Associate

Business Development Associate - Business development associates are the engine room of our company. Their role is to connect financial advisors with suitable prospective clients. 

In order to do this role effectively, a thorough understanding of client's needs are required. This will develop overtime through intensive training and case experience.

We look to recruit from a selection of different backgrounds which offer the best transferable skills. 

It's desirable (although not essential) to have had previous experience in the following types of roles:

Financial Advisory

Those who have worked in financial services or financial advisory often find the transition seamless in terms of industry knowledge. However, applicants must have a strong inter-personal skills to make it through the recruitment process.


Having a knowledge of financial markets & products has historically been highly beneficial for those moving into an advisory role, some of the company's top performers have a banking background.

Customer Facing Roles

The most important part of our business is our client base. As such, every interaction we have with our clients is important. We run the industries top client services department, those with a customer facing background often thrive in this team. 



Successful deVere employees are those who can analyse a situation & make appropriate product suggestions to clients. A sales background is useful for this part of the role.
